Merpati plane Failed to Take Off in Kupang Pulled into Apron

Jakarta - All the passenger "Merpati Air" which had failed to take off Kupang's El Tari Airport had been evacuated. Moreover plane, currently being drawn toward the apron.

"Now being made toward the apron," said Ministry of Transportation Kapuskom Bambang S Ervan told AFP in a brief message on Saturday (19/02/2011).

Reports received by Bambang, propeller aircraft with registration number PK-MZJ was having trouble moving on the runway. Because of these problems, the plane slammed into the left and to the outer runway.

"To the outside runway approximately 15 meters, passengers have been evacuated and there were no reports of injuries," said Bambang.

Previously reported the plane was not physically damaged. Nevertheless, the National Commission on Transportation Accidents (NTSC) has been plunged into Kupang to investigate the incident was classified as serious.

Team Captain NTSC which is deployed Chaeruddin, Sulaiman, and Henry. Previously Chairman of the Subcommittee on Aviation NTSC Masruri said it will investigate what caused the incident. In addition, the NTSC will also see the damage that the aircraft majors Ruteng Kupang.
